Buy it now: Download or Game Description Cribbage is a fun game that has been played in the local pub as well as by people on the go. Now Elastic Software™ has brought it to the Palm OS® handhelds. Cribbage is easy to learn with on screen prompts for instant play plus screens for explaining the rules! Strong compter AI (3 levels) is also available for player hints during play (real time switch between AI levels too). Many card / coloring themes support a wide array of handhelds and playing environments (indoor/outdoor, light/dark displays). Game Overview Elastic Software™ Cribbage features challenging AI computer strategy from beginner (simple play) to full expert (counts cards and knows statistics). Cribbage is played with a single deck and player/computer alternate deal with each getting 6 cards, though both discard 2 cards into dealer's "crib" making three 4 card hands. Two phases follow as 'play' and then 'scoring'. The play phase has players alternating discards trying to total points up to but not over 31 points (called a 'go'). Play starts over at 0 after a go is called. When cards are exhausted, the scoring phase starts with non-dealer then dealer then dealer's crib hand. It all three hands, plus during the 'go' scoring happens for pairs, sequences and other cases (see game rules screen for full details). The game is played to 121 in single match, though tournament is first to win 5 games. Players can stop during game play and resume game later... Features Cribbage hands are sorted for quick play. Clear layout helps simplify game, plus hints (dot over player cards) help during discard to crib and during 'go' play (hints can be turned off and is AI level selectable). Screen layout features gameplay prompts for instant play (you can turn prompts off). High contrast cards, with coloring themes help you play both indoor and outdoors. Appearance (colors, card backs and more) are themeable, plus score and other display features are selectable. Scoring with the pegs around the peg board, plus card animations are selectable (on/off plus slow/fast). Enable / disable sound for discreet play. In game rules and help, plus hardware buttons for quick game play. Palm OS 320 x 320 high resolution screen shots shown on left. Programs have been tested on Palm OS 3.1 and above, color and greyscale, plus extensive testing on newer Palm OS 5 devices such as Tungsten, Zire and Sony Clie devices.
